Eastern Europe has become a low-cost alternative to the Far East for Westerners looking for
child-sex. In downtown Berlin kids as young as 13 arrive here from all over Central and Eastern
Europe. Some hope to escape the poverty of their homes in Romania, Albania or Ukraine.

Everywhere in the region the market for young prostitutes is thriving. At checkpoints along the

with long-distance truckers.

systems that gave inadequate but dependable support to families and supported institutions that gave
shelter, to orphans and children from broken homes. These children besides suffering from poverty,
are to a great much degree left without adult guidance and care.
